used motor oil. 
Please contact a local service center to properly dispose of the oil.




The Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority is committed to improving your local environment by providing a legal and environmentally friendly way to dispose of unwanted items, trash, demolition, and construction waste. Our state-of-the-art facility provides Raleigh County residents and the surrounding communities a manner in which to dispose of their waste in a safe and eco-friendly way.

Our Recycling Center provides a controlled environment to process recyclables - plastics, paper products, various aluminum and batteries. For more information on our recycling capabilities, view our recycling information page.

Effective July 1, 2016 - TV's
RCSWA will be no longer participating in E-Cycling Waste, Televisions or Computer Monitors.  Due to Legislative Law changes the E-Cycling Waste can once again be disposed of in the landfill at your regular trash fee.

Did You Know...

In the month of July 2018, RCSWA Litter Control Division cleaned 12 dump sites, investigated 45 complaints and issued 12 NOV's (Notice of Violation).  One court case. Three warrants for the month of July 2018 were obtained. 7,500 lbs. of litter was brought into the landfill by Officers John Dunn and Mitchell Barley for the month of July 2018.
