When is Free Day?
Free Day is the last working Thursday of each month.  RCSWA only accepts bagged house garbage one load per household up to 500 lbs. no yard waste or construction materials.

What is accepted on Free Day?
Household bagged trash, furniture and non-refrigerated appliances.  TV’s are allowed on Free Day.


When is Free Residential Brush Day?
The first working Friday of each month.  One time only up to a ton of natural brush is permitted for free that day. 


Does the Landfill accept tires?
Yes, $1.25 up to 17” off the rim and $2.25 on the rim, per tire. If you have larger sizes please contact us at 304-255-9335 for additional prices.  Tires are not included on Free Day.


Does the Landfill accept mobile homes?
Yes, please contact us at 304-255-9334 for pricing.

Who rents the boxes (dumpster)?
You may contact a local garbage hauler for rental rates.


Does the Landfill accept paint?
As long it is in a dried solid form.  To solidify the paint you can add kitty litter, wood chips, let it air dry,
paint it on an old cardboard or sheet and then dispose of the items.


Hours of Landfill?
Operations Open - Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.  Every Saturday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Closed Sunday

Recycling – Open from Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 4:30pm.  Closed Saturday and Sunday.

Last Chance Mercantile – Open Monday – Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.  Only open first Saturday of each month from 8:00am to 3:00pm.  Closed Sunday.

The Landfill is closed 6 Holidays.

New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.

Did You Know...

In the month of August 2020, RCSWA Litter Control Division cleaned 10 dump sites, investigated 53 complaints and issued 21 NOV's (Notice of Violation).  4 court cases and 2 convictions.  There were 4 warrants obtained for the month of August 2020.  3,680lbs (1.84 tons) of litter was brought into the landfill by litter control crew and Officers John Dunn and Mitch Barley for the month of August 2020.
