Volunteer of the Year 2026

The Association of West Virginia Solid Waste Authorities is looking for Volunteer of the Year 2026 Award nominations.

The AWVSWA would like to honor volunteers whose personal dedication helps protect our environment and enhance the quality of life across West Virginia.

All nominations must be received by the Association on or before September 10, 2026.

Public Notice: Proposed Solid Waste Plans Available for Review

The Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority is making the following proposed plan updates available for public review for a period of 30 days prior to a public hearing.

Please review the documents below:

The landfill will be CLOSED Monday, September 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day. The landfill will reopen Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
